The lamps that make up our shop were inspired by one of the first modern functioning light bulbs. Thomas Edison's hand blown glass light bulbs were experimented with thousands and thousands of times before they found a slow burning filament similar to the one we use today. In 1879 Thomas Edison demonstrated the light bulb that burned for an hour or so in public. His focus was probably on the technology of the thing, but the displays were a thing of beauty!
These early light bulbs and their utilitarian pedestals are what inspired our Pedestal Lamps.
From here, we added lantern-like features and created the hurricane pedestal lamp. Stemming from the same inspiration, new Worley's Lighting lamps were created and we now offer quite a few different designs in our shop!
Check out our shop for our latest designs!
